Let the madness begin

It's with great irony that the taxi drivers in Durban went on strike, something that occurs all over southern Africa – I can only ask myself: Since when does private enterprise go on strike? Has the entire taxi industry become part of the government, and if so, when? What is even more disturbing is that they are demanding that no tickets be issued by Whites or Indians. Sjoe. That's racialism in a espresso cup for you.
These absolutely insane pictures are springing up all over the place. I could go to great lengths to describe my bar going on strike for whatever reason (too many blacks drinking at the bar????), but I know that all the reader's would agree with me that I would loose a great deal of money if I was as stupid as that.
The ANC on top of all of this is still going ahead with it's plans on toll roads. Which Cosatu has a a very nice piece of the pie. So unusual isn't it? Here I was thinking that all the tax we pay in the form of petrol etc had already paid for the road when it had been built all those years ago. Here I was thinking that the taxes that we pay would pay for the upkeep of these roads. Clearly either my thinking is wrong or we are (as always) being taken for a ride... What's really rich is that the ANC has made it very clear that they have no interest in what the public has too say about the matter. The only choice I see here is independence.
No more such we recognise the shotgun republic. A republic with two capitals. Dead give away, isn't it?
